“I’ve attended various classes at Raw Performance for just over a year and a half and have to say it’s the first gym I have ever actually felt comfortable and at ease in (to an extent… I mean who is comfortable doing a backwards bear crawl?)

Declan and the guys are great, always on hand for guidance and to answer my many questions. The coaches are so motivating and encouraging even when I’m the last in the class and ready to give up. They always take time to explain the workout and break down the lifts, sharing so much knowledge and often giving me the extra confidence boost to lift that bit heavier than I ever thought I could. All in all, just a great gym.”

“I became a member at RAW just over a year ago now and enjoy being part of the RAW community.

Making exercise a big part of my life for a number of years and can say that the class formats in RAW offer a great variety of challenges based around enhancing strength and mobility. I am stronger, fitter and more energetic now than when I was younger, and Declan and Jonny are always at hand to offer guidance and sound advice on how I can progress in my fitness journey.

Progressing and working towards goals are a big part of being a RAW member, and currently I am working towards improving my PB’s (personal bests) in relation to Deadlifts, and want to expand on Olympic lifting. I have quite a few favourite exercises but have to say I get a real buzz from Deadlifts and get great satisfaction from increasing my strength with the inclusion of these in my programme. My least favourite exercise has to be sprints on the assault bike! Though maybe someday I just might make it part of my goal to start enjoying it or maybe not!”
